Lighting Design for United Respect Cologne 2009

United Respect Cologne took place at the Lanxess Arena on 22 August 2009. International DJs and live acts shaped the programme of the large-scale techno event.

The previous night, a television production had taken place in the same arena using much of the required equipment. The task was therefore to create an independent visual identity for United Respect without rebuilding the entire lighting system.

In coordination with the preceding production, parts of the system were planned for use across both events. As the overnight conversion could only be completed shortly before doors opened, the entire show was prepared through 3D Preprogramming.

Commissioned by Crossworks Projects, I was responsible for the Lighting Design. Together with my team, I managed Lighting Preprogramming and Lighting Operating.
