Lighting Design for Samsung at IFA 2013

At IFA 2013, Samsung presented its product portfolio across a 4,500 square metre exhibition space in Hall 20.

The defining elements of the exhibition design were multilayered side walls made of fabric. Illuminated from the front and back, they could be continuously transformed through animated colour sequences. Several staggered layers of LED strips extended the animations and enhanced the spatial depth of the construction.

I developed the lighting concept and was responsible for the Lighting Design of the entire exhibition booth. On site, I directed the lighting setup across all areas and developed the lighting animations for the side walls.
