In 2008, COLD provided the lighting design to Samsung for the last time for its trade show appearances at CeBIT in Hanover. Going forward, Samsung will withdraw from CeBIT and present itself with a broader range of topics at the International Consumer Electronics Fair in Berlin. From 2003 to 2008, COLD managed all of Samsung’s exhibition booths at CeBIT.

From 2003 to 2008, COLD handled the complete lighting design for all four exhibition booths at CeBIT. Samsung showcased its products across several halls (1, 21, 26, and a pavilion on the outdoor grounds in front of Hall 26). Hall 1 typically featured printers, monitors, and office solutions; Hall 21 showcased consumer electronics, particularly televisions; and Hall 26 displayed telecommunications products (cell phones, tablets, etc.). In addition, there were offices and press areas on the roof of Hall 1, as well as a dealer pavilion with a lounge and meeting rooms in front of Hall 26.

The images shown here depict the booth in Hall 1. What made this hall unique was that all lighting could only be installed using power rails mounted on the hall ceiling. For this reason, particular attention was always paid to the weight and energy efficiency of the lamp types used, especially for this booth.
