Lighting design for Red Bull Symphonic – Kool Savas

Rap royalty meets classical virtuosity: July 23, 2023, was a night for the rap history books as Kool Savas thrilled 2,000 hip-hop fans at Red Bull Symphonic, performing alongside the 44-piece Residenz-Orchester Baden-Württemberg under the direction of Sven Gnass. At the Liederhalle in Stuttgart, the audience celebrated the “King of Rap,” who crowned himself “King of Orchestra” for the evening.
Joining Kool Savas and the Residenz-Orchester Baden-Württemberg (conducted by Sven Gnass) to create this fusion of hip-hop and classical symphony were guest artists Badmómzjay, 1986zig, SDP, Alies, Alea from Saltatio Mortis, and Ela.
COLD created the production and lighting design for the show and delivered DoP, LX operating, and pre-programming.
