Lighting design for “NRJ Star Night”

On November 17, Energy Star Night took 13,500 music fans on a journey through an exciting party jungle full of musical highlights. Fourteen national and international music stars thrilled the audience at the Hallenstadion during the 15th edition of Switzerland’s largest indoor music event. Both Nemo from Biel and the Bern-based duo Lo & Leduc provided a healthy dose of Swiss rap and got the crowd singing and dancing; they, along with the French DJ duo Ofenbach, had the crowd rocking. German acts included Berlin-based DJ Alle Farben, who had the entire Hallenstadion jumping up and down, and pop sensation Mark Forster, who sparked screams and sing-alongs from the audience just as much as the Finnish rockers from Sunrise Avenue, led by frontman and heartthrob Samu Haber. Another highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Energy Music Award. Fans could vote for their favorite among eight nominees. Nemo was honored with the golden award. “This is unbelievable! Thank you so much!” exclaimed the Biel native, beaming from ear to ear as he accepted the award. COLD provided a new lighting design as well as pre-programming and on-site implementation. The show was broadcast by Pro 7 Switzerland.
