Lighting Design and DoP for RTL’s Mania Show

In 2004 and 2006, I was responsible for the Lighting Design of two seasons of RTL’s Mania Show. The programmes were recorded at SBA Studios in Berlin and hosted by Dirk Bach and Barbara Schöneberger.

Each episode was dedicated to a different musical theme, including Grease, Dirty Dancing, Elvis and ABBA. Celebrity guests performed well-known songs live, accompanied by dancers. The programme was conceived as pure entertainment rather than a competition.

For each episode, I developed an individual visual production responding to its respective musical theme. Commissioned by mo2 design, I held full design responsibility and was solely responsible on site for the implementation and my work as DoP.
