Lighting Design for CSI Zurich from 2001 to 2014

The central focus of CSI Zurich 2014 was the horse show “Around the World”, featuring different performances by international show troupes. In addition to the projection previously used at one end of the arena, a large-scale video projection was introduced across the ground.

Combining both media on the dark sand created particular demands for the Lighting Design. During rehearsals, I developed lighting atmospheres that kept both projections visible while providing sufficient brightness for the horses. At the same time, the lighting needed to remain an independent creative element.

Around 30,000 visitors experienced the show. From 2001 through 2014, I was responsible for the Lighting Design of CSI Zurich. Together with my team, I also managed the Lighting Operating.
