Associate Lighting Design for Deutschland sucht den Superstar

The first two seasons of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”, the German version of Pop Idol, began with auditions in cities across the country. The most successful contestants then progressed to the themed live shows produced in the television studio. This studio phase culminated in the grand final of each season.

In 2003 and 2004, I joined the production at the beginning of the themed studio shows. Commissioned by mo2 design, I worked as Associate Lighting Designer under the name and overall design direction of Ollie Olma.

I developed the actual show lighting design myself. For all themed shows and the finals, I programmed and operated the show and effects lighting. The key lighting was not part of my responsibility.
