Associate Lighting Design for the 5 Millionen SKL Show

From 2002 to 2007, I worked on the RTL format “Die 5 Millionen SKL Show”. The programme had originally launched during the era of the German mark as “10 Millionen SKL Show”.

In the quiz format, celebrities answered questions on behalf of the contestants. A random generator selected which celebrity had to answer each question. The contestants could use a joker only once to choose a different celebrity. At the end, the prize went to the contestant for whom the highest number of questions had been answered correctly.

Commissioned by mo2 design, I worked as Associate Lighting Designer under the design direction of Ollie Olma. Within the lighting concept, I was responsible for the show lighting. I designed, programmed and operated the complete show and effects lighting, but not the key lighting.

The lighting system was extensive for its time and controlled through several consoles. Almost all lighting cues were triggered automatically by a media control system.
