Lighting design for “Art on Ice”

Art on Ice toured Zurich, Lausanne, and Davos with its 2016 production, presenting the show “What Color Is Your Rainbow?” a total of ten times. From February 4 to 13, 77,000 visitors attended the performances at the Hallenstadion in Zurich, the Patinoire de Malley in Lausanne, and the Vaillant Arena in Davos. 77,000 guests were thrilled by the program featuring the stage stars The Jacksons, Jessie J, and James Gruntz. Key elements of this year’s lighting design included six identically equipped pods within the asymmetrical stage design, as well as a large-scale, multimedia-enhanced set consisting of individually suspended LED sticks. COLD was responsible for the lighting design and the multimedia display on the stage set, oversaw the pre-programming, and provided a DoP and all LX operating services for the tour and TV recording.
