Lighting Design for the Art on Ice 2016 Tour

Art on Ice presented its 2016 production “What Color Is Your Rainbow?” ten times in Zurich, Lausanne and Davos. From 4 to 13 February, 77,000 visitors experienced the show featuring The Jacksons, Jessie J and James Gruntz.

Six identically equipped Lighting Pods formed central elements of the asymmetrical stage design. Alongside the conventional LED walls, an expansive installation of more than 600 individually suspended SGM LT-100 and LT-200 LED Sticks extended into the performance space.

For the tour, I was responsible for the Lighting Design. I created the complete visual content for the LED Stick installation and programmed the additional MADRIX control system. I worked as DoP for the television recording. Together with my team, I managed 3D Preprogramming and Lighting Operating.
