Lighting design for Dyckerhoff at “Bautec” fair

Dyckerhoff is a major manufacturer of building materials. We were commissioned to handle the lighting design for their exhibition booth at Bautec.

From a lighting design perspective, the challenge was that the exhibition hall could not be darkened. In addition, the client requested that the lighting not be installed using a traditional rigging system above the booth floor. Therefore, a ring running around the perimeter was integrated into the booth design on supports, to which the lighting fixtures could then be attached using specially developed adapters. Due to the high ambient brightness, the lighting design focused on showcasing the products and the centrally located bar, as well as on the design of the show stage. Several highlights of the product range were also given special staging. Large stelae were cast from various types of concrete and suspended in the space by steel cables.
